She grew up on the sunny California coast, surfing and playing sports, and learned to go and try things for herself. So she visited factories herself and found the supply chains that also manufacture for luxury brands, personally overseeing the quality of every design — the only difference is you're not paying for the brand markup, so you get the same craftsmanship at roughly half the price.
