Post Length
Every stone size and material is offered in three post lengths — 5mm, 6.5mm, and 8mm — to fit different piercing depths and stages of healing. 8mm is recommended for fresh piercings, allowing room for initial swelling. If you're unsure which length is right for you, we recommend measuring an existing flat-back piece or checking with your piercer before ordering.
Hoop Size
Our hoops are available in a spectrum of diameters. The Cartilage Hoop ranges up to nine diameters — 4mm, 5mm, 6mm,7mm, 9mm, 10mm,11mm, and 12mm — to accommodate piercings from the Lobe to the Helix and Conch. The ideal size comes down to snugness and how closely or far you'd like the hoop to sit from the ear.
Gauge Size
Gauge refers to the thickness of a piece, and indicates how large a piercing hole must be to accommodate the jewelry. The higher the gauge, the thinner the wearable surface. If you're unsure of your piercing's gauge, we recommend checking with your piercer or measuring an existing piece before ordering — wearing the wrong gauge can cause discomfort or irritation.
